Default place — public
It is impossible to propose «come to my place» as a first date. The map shows only public places: cafes, parks, museums, cinemas. This doesn't fully solve the issue, but it makes structurally harder one of the most common danger patterns.
Visibility of face and voice before meeting
Before meeting, the person is seen live in mmeet-video. These are not 5-year-old photos. This removes one layer of deception.
Share location outside the app
It is recommended: before the first meeting, share with someone trusted — where, with whom, and when. Modern smartphones support this natively. mmeet does not duplicate this, but mentions it in the interface.
Report without barriers
Declining without explanation is possible before or after the meeting. If something bad happens — the «report» button is right there, not buried. Tapping report ends the match immediately and sends the complaint to the team, where a real person reviews it and may block the violator. Standard reaction time — up to a day; for serious cases (threats of physical violence), write to support directly for a faster reaction.
AI verification as preliminary filter
Most fakes don't reach matching stage. AI photo + mandatory video filter the bulk of automated fakes.
What mmeet CAN'T do
Honest about limits. Can't predict a person's behavior in real life. Doesn't control places beyond the picked one. Doesn't replace common sense.
